

Linh Ung Pagoda
The basics
Located on the forested Son Tra Peninsula just north of Da Nang city, from the Linh Ung Pagoda there are sweeping city and coastal views. The large complex has many features to explore, such as statues, temple buildings, courtyards, and gardens. It’s designed in a contemporary style that draws on traditional Vietnamese pagoda architecture, including curved roofs and pillars entwined with dragons. The Linh Ung Pagoda is a popular attraction in Da Nang and features on many city tours, alongside the Marble Mountains and My Khe Beach. It’s also easy to visit independently.

Things to know before you go
*There’s no entrance fee to the Linh Ung Pagoda. *Unfortunately, the pagoda is not wheelchair accessible, and there are many steps. *Water, ice cream, and snacks are available to purchase on-site.
How to get there
Located 6.2 miles (10 kilometers) north of central Da Nang, the Linh Ung Pagoda is not well-connected to public transport, but is easy to reach by taxi, motorcycle taxi, or tour. Some people also visit from Hoi An, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the south, by taxi or tour.

When to get there
The Linh Ung Pagoda is open from early in the morning until late in the evening. As it’s comprised of a large outdoor area, it’s better to avoid visiting during the heat of the day. The Lady Buddha statue is illuminated at night, and can be seen from far afield.
