Westminster Abbey Tour and optional visit to Houses of Parliament in London
Westminster Abbey is absolutely stunning to see, and is perhaps my favorite place we toured on this London trip. Our guide was kind and very knowledgeable, but difficult to hear at times. I wish the company provided a microphone and earbud like some of the other tour companies we experienced.

London for Kids with Changing of the Guard, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London
Wow! We had the best day with Lucy our tour guide. It was a full day and a lot of walking and sightseeing, but we were so entertained, we barely noticed. We are a family of 5 and our youngest is 9. We toured Westminster Abbey, we watched part of the changing of guards ceremony and toured the Tower of London. Lucy not only gave us a tour of these amazing places she made it fun and she answered all our crazy questions. I would absolutely recommend this tour!

Great tour for Westminster Abbey but no tour guide for Houses of Parliament

Skip the Line into Houses of Parliament & Westminster Abbey Fully-Guided Tour
Westminster Abbey is very interesting with lots of history. Our guide was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information and details regarding the Abbey. I was disappointed that for the Houses of Parliament portion of the tour the Guide was canceled. We were able to continue using a listening device and head phones.

Bringing the Abbey to life

Private Tour: Westminster Abbey and Churchill War Rooms Tour
This was one of the best tours we did. Flicc was a wonderful guide. She brought Westminster Abbey history to life and knew a lot about the historical figures buried or memorialized there. She took us to see the King Edward throne that was behind a rope that no one else was visiting. She kept our 12 year old and us engaged and interested with her lively discourse there and at the War Rooms. Well worth the money for the personal attention.

Westminster Abbey - a private tour

Skip-the-line Westminster Abbey Private Guided Tour
The private tour of Westminster Abbey was exceptional. Paced well, with engaging and professional historical narrative provided to enhance the experience. The guide was genuinely passionate about sharing her wisdom about the Abbey which was extraordinary and enjoyable to see. I gained a new perspective about the historical significance of the monarchy in Great Britain (as an American) as well as the social dynamics of church, state, and religious conflicts. A must do and well worth the cost.

Westminster Walking Tour & Westminster Abbey Entry
Clint, our guide, made our tour so memorable. He is an amazing fountain of information! No question goes unanswered. His tour is perfectly structured from start to finish and finishes at Westminster Abbey. Though tour guides are no part of your trip inside the Abbey, Clint handed us tickets for entry and directed us as to where to go. All very convenient. His wit and sense of history and humor make the tour fly by in no time. My wife and I enjoyed it tremendously and highly recommend!

Westminster Walking Tour & Westminster Abbey Entry
The guide was very knowledgeable and packed alot into the time. Would have liked to know we could have stopped to eat and rest at the Abbey Cafe. Were so tired and hungry to start the Abbey.

One of the Best Tours in London

Historical London Walking Tour in Westminster & Churchill War Rooms Entry
One of the best tours I have ever done. Our guide, Robert, was knowledgeable and passionate about Churchill and history, and the tour was better for it - we were entertained while we learned a lot! The tour ties in Westminster's buildings and their history with Churchill, and then you finish the tour in the museum, where Churchill and his staff actually planned WWII. Absolutely awesome tour - enjoyed it and highly recommend.

London In a Day: Tower of London, Westminster Abbey & Changing of the Guard
If you aren’t able to walk ALL day, do not take this tour. It’s strenuous exercise being on your feet all day. We did over 15000 steps!! But if you want exercise and a nice tour with a great guide, ask for Nick. He’s a gem. My husband who has a bad knee and back could not have done this tour.

Westminster Walking Tour & Westminster Abbey Entry
Tim, a younger Sean Connery, brought his weighty knowledge of history and interesting anecdotes together in a spectacular tour. One of the best, if not the best, walking tours I've had in my many European travels.

London In a Day: Tower of London, Westminster Abbey & Changing of the Guard
We had a fantastic day with our guide Linda. Such a lovely lady and a vast knowledge of everything she was showing us- I don't know how she remembers it all!! Thoroughly enjoyed every minute and although it's a walking tour, we didn't feel rushed in the slightest. 100% would recommend this tour!

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Booking in advance will help you avoid waiting in long lines. Otherwise, be prepared to queue for up to an hour at peak times, especially in July and August.

  • As the abbey is a place of worship, visitors are asked to dress modestly, and due to its uneven floor and steps, comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

  • Taking photos or videos is not permitted within the abbey.

  • Some, but not all, areas of the abbey are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair users should enter by the North Door; admission is free.

  • On-site facilities include restrooms, a café, and a gift shop.
