The Basics

Parts of the castle are open to visitors, including the State Apartments, Queen Mary's intricate dolls' house, and George VI's private apartments. St. George's Chapel is another highlight, where many royal weddings and funerals have occurred, as well as where the Queen Mother's and King Henry VII's tombs are found. On a guided tour, you can see the Great Kitchen to witness the inner workings of the castle.

Douglas is outstanding!

Private Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath from London
Our tour operator was Douglas. He was very punctual and so patient, courteous and professional. We had 2 kids and 3 adults. He kept us engaged and educated. All of us, including the 8 and 9 year old. Douglas is very knowledgeable about all of the sites we visited. Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath. He even introduced us to some of the staff on the sites. Douglas was overall outstanding and I highly recommend him.

Douglas was fantastic! He efficiently navigated us through Windsor Castle so we left with very memorable highlights. He took us to Woodhenge before Stonehenge which I had not heard about. We went to Salisbury ilo Bathe. Saw the Magna Carta!! And then had dinner in a pub on the way back. Awesome Day!!

Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath Tour from London with Admission
The trip was a pleasure thanks to our amazing guide Bruce! Only reason I did not give 5 stars was only because we were rushed through Windsor Castle and I did not have a chance to really enjoy

Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Bath from London
The trip was wonderful. Our tour guide Riese and bus driver Mo were real pros, and gave us very relevant and interesting information. We found the time spent on the attractions was enough and in between during the driving time our guide shared his great knowledge and gave us time to sleep. It is highly recommended, especially now because this company takes care even for COVID-19 safety matters in a very good way.

Amazing Day!!!

Jay was an absolutely terrific tour guide. He has a great sense of humor, very personable, and as an archeologist he had an encyclopedic knowledge of the sites we visited. He was kind enough to take us off the beaten path so that we could eat a meal at a pub frequented by locals; seldom visited by tourists. I highly recommend this tour. Ask for Jay! And follow his suggestions for “tweaking” this tour. You won’t be disappointed.

Official Royal Business at Windsor Castle

As an official residence, Windsor Castle hosts Queen Elizabeth for a month at Easter, a week in June, and during most weekends. At Windsor, she also often hosts state dinners for international dignitaries and entertains those she has knighted into the Order of the Garter. When the queen is in residence, you can see the Changing of the Guard (as you do when she is at Buckingham Palace).
