On this 6 Days 5 Nights adventure through the hearts of 4 western districts of Bhutan, you’ll go on nature hikes and appreciate the pristine natural environment, explore and ramble through rural villages and gain firsthand experience on its culture and people. Come visit Bhutan with us and explore one of the most unique and extraordinary countries in the world. Bhutan has both natural beauty and cultural wealth so carefully preserved and passed down from generation to generation, that visitors are not surprised to hear its nickname ‘Kingdom of Happiness’. Tucked away deep in the eastern Himalayas between the mighty neighbours – China to the north and India to the south, Bhutan remained isolated for centuries from the rest of the world until it opened its door to the outside world in the 1960s. Bhutan is one of the most beautiful and least travelled countries in the world and the last Vajrayana Buddhist Kingdom.

Bhutan is home to many species of birds that are in danger of extinction, including the Imperial Heron, which is one of the fifty rarest birds in the world and the rare Black-Necked Crane, which breeds in Tibet and then migrates over the Himalayas to Bhutan during the winter months. The Cranes can be spotted in Phobjikha Valley in Western Bhutan, Bumthang in Central Bhutan and 43 in Bomdeling in Eastern Bhutan. What’s better than a photo? How about picking up the art of sketching Bhutan’s faces – her land and people – to take home as permanent memories? With, here's your chance to tour the Himalayan Kingdom, to feel it in your spirit, and pen it down in vivid technicolour. Perhaps you are concerned about technique? Where to begin, who’s my teacher? Would there still be time to explore the raw beauty of Bhutan? Your teacher: the soft-spoken Rajesh Gurung. His roots as the co-founder of VAST (Voluntary Artists Studio of Thimphu) sets the perfect foundation to teach, since the non-profit organisation was set up in 1998 by professional artists seeking out Bhutanese youths who demonstrated interest in the arts, and to then steer them towards their potential talents in exploring art as a career.
