Just off Sisowath Quay are some top tourist attractions, including the Royal Palace, Wat Ounalom, and the National Museum of Cambodia.

*Sisowath Quay is the starting point for many Tonle Sap river cruises, which is great way to see the waterfront and catch some cool breezes. *While Sisowath Quay is generally safe, pickpockets and bag snatching are an issue, so keep an eye on all belongings during your visit. *Be aware that the waterfront area can be frequented by sex workers and clients at night.
How to get there
Since there are many hotels located near Sisowath Quay, it’s an ideal place to explore on foot, especially during the daytime. If you’re coming from farther afield, the most environmentally friendly option is a cyclo, or bicycle rickshaw, which are most often used when traveling short distances. Alternatives include motorcycle-powered tuk tuks and enclosed taxis; whichever vehicle you choose, be sure to negotiate the price before departure.

Visit at different times of day and you’ll see very different sides of Sisowath Quay. First thing in the morning, groups of locals gather for aerobics and Tai Chi. In the afternoon, expats drink cold beers at outside tables. In the early evening, Sisowath Quay draws leisurely, strolling crowds. The nighttime scene is a bit edgier, and some visitors are approached by sex workers; that doesn’t stop a buzzing bar scene that goes into the early hours of morning.
