Your tour begins with pickup from your central Ho Chi Minh City hotel and a drive to Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh.

On arrival, set out to explore the sacred temple with your guide and learn more about the fascinating Cao Dai religion, which borrows elements from Buddhism, Christianity, Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, and Taoism. Then, take part in the midday mass, admiring the monks in their colorful robes and listening to the mesmerizing chants.

After stopping for lunch (included) at a local restaurant, continue to discover one of the most fascinating remnants of the Vietnam-American War—the Cu Chi Tunnels. Venture underground to explore the network of tunnels and bunkers, which stretch for over 124 miles (200km), and hear how they were used by the Viet Cong guerilla fighters. During your visit, learn more about the tunnels by watching a video presentation; explore the underground war bunkers, command centers, and weapons stores; pose for photos peeking out of a camouflaged trapdoor; and sample ‘cassava’, a popular dish eaten by the guerrilla fighters.

Back in Ho Chi Minh City, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Two very different pieces of Southern Vietnam history. Glad to visit but the bus rides inbetween HCMC and each place were long. Guide was great and lunch was decent.

Yes to Temple; No to Tunnels and Propaganda
Mary P

My husband and I enjoyed a portion of this tour. The Cao Dai Temple is beautiful and our time there was interesting. We enjoyed watching a portion of the ceremony after being able to spend time beforehand taking photos. Lunch was delicious, as it was "hot pot", but it was our first experience with this and we had no idea how to "cook" our lunch. Some of the group did not have lunch included with their tour, so the guide was directing them to lunch places. He did not describe or demonstrate the hot pot cooking method. Now for the bad - we had thought we could actually go into the Cu Chi Tunnels, but we were only allowed to crawl through an entrance tunnel that was probably 10 meters long. Our guide was interesting, but he talked so much that we were basically kicked out of the park before we could possibly see tunnels. Perhaps this is not even a possibility, but we were led to believe otherwise.A very old black and white movie of terrible quality was shown on the bus on the way to the tunnels. As Americans, we were very offended by the propaganda shown in the movie and the information given by the guide. The guide stated that Americans bombed the area because we didn't want crops to grow. Absolutely no mention was made that Americans (and others) gave their lives in an effort to keep Vietnam free of Communism. No mention was made of the Vietnamese who fought against their own people. It was very awkward and uncomfortable listening to this one-sided presentation for hours on end. We had to bite our tongues. We would not recommend that any Americans visit these tunnels, where a guide gleefully demonstrates the action of terrible torture traps.

Pick up in hotel was confusing, because we had to walk to the bus, then had to transfer to another bus. However, everything else that followed went perfectly well. We were dropped at the hotel after.

The sights of this trip were amazing but the guide spoke very poor English so I understood very little of what he said. It was really amazing to see the Cao Dai Temple, that is an experience that I will never never forget. We stopped by a handcrafts centre of handicapped, which was really nice. I would have liked to spend more time there. Overall, the sights were really great, when you are in Ho Chi Minh you should not miss the Cao Dai Temple and Cu Chi Tunnels, it was really great, but choose a guide that speaks good English.

We had a great tour guide Bin who has a great sense of humor and knowledgeable about the Cao Dai religion and its history. The visit to Cu Chi tunnels was informative and fun. My only negative about this tour was about the bus's airconditioning was we not good enough to keep us cool.

Quite a long drive to get there, but very interesting. Would like to have spent more time there. Very nice lunch. Then onto cu chi tunnels. How they managed to survive in these during the work was a miracle.
