Ben Duoc was NOT an option

The tour itself was OK, but I expected we would go to Ben Duoc tunnels as it was explicitly mentioned in the title of the tour. Instead we were taken to the regular touristy site of Ben Dinh, which was fine, the guide was good, the tour bus was OK, but that didn't make me feel any less misled. When I asked the tour guide about Ben Duoc, he told me he's been paid to do a Ben Dinh tour and that Ben Duoc was probably closed or whatever and there is no chance to go there.

Our guide was the best.

Going through the tunnel is not pleasant for the big man. The journey from Saigon is quite long and the journey is really boring. Our guide was the best throughout the trip. The place was not so interesting.

Entertaining Tour Guide!

We had a fantastic afternoon experience to the Cu Chi Tunnels. We were picked up from our hotel even though our hotel wasn't on the list of pickups. We were greeted by the friendliest of guides who took us to the bus. When we got on the road the guide gave very useful information on the history of Vietnam and Saigon. Not only did we learn a lot, she presented it in a very entertaining way! The jokes continued throughout the tour and we really enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks guys!

OK....

Best part was actually seeing the tunnels...the rest is propaganda and about war techniques. I found all of the detailed ways they explained how they tortured the opposition a bit much to handle. The actual tunnels are very interesting, though, but be warned it is full of propaganda. Guide was average, there is only one side of the story told. It would be interesting to hear it from a more neutral perspective, but probably that isn't even possible because of government censoring. At one point we stopped at a shooting range where we are meant to have a 15 minute break and people are shooting war rifles that are scary loud and I found this really distressing to the point where I had to walk away from the group to get as far away from the gunshot sounds as possible. Definitely not a nice place to have a 'break.' We went on a very hot day, 36 degrees, and it was rough, but the bus was nice and cool for the trip back.

Good tour to learn history and experience

Good tour - fun but too long. Wish we could cut down the length and provide water at the end as we were all thirsty. Not enough time given to try and purchase beverages at the end if needed. Transportation was clean.

Interesting but fast

It was a really interesting tour back to the Vietnam war, you can visit the actual places where Viet Cong built their headquarter and barracks. But the tour was to fast so you haven't time to see all the exibits and the guide hurry to finish the tour. If you have time choose a full day tour and keep in mind that the place is 2 hrs from Saigon (District 1).

We were a party of 4 with Amy as our guide for the day. Brilliant day and Amy was able to provide so much information about the history of the war and the way the local people lived through that difficult time. Lunch was good and the tunnels impressive
