A good one!
, Jun 2022
Our tour was 5 hours. Plenty of stops and time to chat along the way. Lola and Tam were lovely and seemed to really enjoy showing the tour group around the country side. The rice wine making place was a highlight, and not just because of the free samples haha
Good Experience
, Sep 2019
We had a very enjoyable and educational trip with our bike riders Joy & Linh. Besides being good guides they were also good company. We saw many traditional activities and got to participate in all of them. We had both a coffee and lunch break in local authentic Vietnamese eateries. Would highly recommended this tour.
A great afternoon.

I recently had the good fortune to ride on the Afternoon Countryside Bike Tour from Hoi An with Lola and Ken as our local guides. The whole experience was terrific and exceptional value for money. Our group which consisted of eleven plus the two guides had a wow of a time being constantly entertained and informed the whole time, The bicycles were in good condition and the cycling itself very easy. The stops along the way thoughtfully well spaced out and very informative and gave an insight into the local culture. But if you want to know how to scull a corracle don’t ask Lola to show you. Seriously though if you want to have an enjoyable and interesting afternoon which is not to physically challenging than you can’t get better than this tour. It really was a great fun afternoon.
Worthwhile Tour
, Jun 2019
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was great to get out of town and enjoy the quiet countryside. It was amazing yo watch old crafts such as mat weaving, boat making, mother of pearl work and more. Out guide Lola was great. funny and knowlegable. If you have the time in Hoi An, it is worth spending half a day in this tour, with the opportunity to enjoy the night market after.
Fun even with rain
, Dec 2018
What a lovely afternoon. First of all we had a great boat trip to the island, the scenery gave us an insight into the working lives of the inhabitants of the islands from giant fishing nets to rice fields. On our bikes and we visited a traditional home, mat weaving, mother of Pearl inlaid work and my favourite the woven boat, with a local lady who made us all laugh so much and kept us safe as we all had a go at rowing the boat. It started to rain and heavily so even with our capes didn’t work too well. Our trainers go soaking wet, but in the warm weather this wasn’t too bad, but I recommend sandals to anyone else, our guides were fun, informative and both looked after us at our differing levels of cycling. I hadn’t cycled for about 4 years and didn’t have any trouble, but a bike with gears would have been nice, the boys had gears. Would I recommend the trip DEFINITELY, away from the hustle and tourism, a look at a different way of life and even at the end when it rained it made us 🤭

This was a great tour, we took our 4 kids ranging from 9 to 1 years old and we all had a ball! Nothing was too hard for the guides and we did not feel like burdens at all having to need two bike seats for the Little ones. The ride itself was easy and I believe anyone can do it.

Great afternoon cycling across a couple of islands near Hoi An. The two guides (Nham and Tam) were brilliant with a great sense of humour. Visited many interesting local trades especially the rice wine maker and the basket boat maker. Even better that there was no hard sell. Go on, give it a go!

We were really fortunate as it had drizzled in the morning, so we had good afternoon weather. My husband and I have not gone on a bike for 30 years. The tour assistant who rode behind to ensure all the riders were ok, she was really great looking after me. I was the last rider so as not to be an obstruction to the others. The countryside roads were flat and easy to ride. Just got to take care when motorbikes come from the front and from behind occasionally. The provide helmets if you need. Each of us give a bottle of water, and the guides carried water refills. Many stops for us to see local handicrafts and these stops provided the rests we needed. Bring sunblock and mosquito repellant. Tour price inexpensive for the duration we biked. My bike seat height had been lowered to maximum. But I would have liked it if ithe seat could be moved down a notch lower. Otherwise everything was great. Good tour. Go for it !

The trip was full of unanticipated experiences, it started with a boat trip, a visit to a traditional house, mat making, a farm where rice wine was being made, the opportunity to paddle a round boat, cycling on quiet safe footpaths along the edge of paddy fields, a visit to marquetry craft shop from oyster shells and an insight into traditional boat bulidng. The cycling riding was on the flat, at a relaxed pace and a perfect way to explore the islands. The guide was fabulous, had a great sense of humour and got the balance between information provision and activity just right. A great tour focused upon Vietnamese culture rather than bike riding.

Great trip. Bike riding very easy except there are 3 small bridges and two of them had dogs on them.... only time i needed to dismount for fear of falling in the water with my bike. Guide was great. Village life amazing. Would thoroughly recommend this one.

Get to know the real Vietnam up close and personal. This bike/boat excursion was a great value for your money and a wonderful way to learn more about vietnamese culture and lifestyle. The cycle leader whose name is Moon was extremely knowledgeable and her trusty assistant Kieu followed from behind to assist any slower cyclists or avid photographers. Take home some wonderful memories combined with a better understanding of Vietnamese culture . . . don't miss this opportunity!

Excellent trip, and for very little money. Only part I did not like was 45 minute return trip on noisy boat. Wish they'd find a boat that is quiet, or suggest you put some cotton in your ears.

A great way to spend the afternoon in the country side around Hoi An. The trip had lots of variety and the guides were knowledgeable, personal and professional. Highly recommended as it is not a strenuous ride even when it is very hot..

My daughter and I loved our trip around the country tracks around Hoi An. Well organised, good bikes and a happy, enthusiastic, well spoken guide whose name sounded like Quick. Our guide had good general knowledge, and moderated our cycling to fit with our interests. Many laughs along the ways would totally recommend this tour and company. Suitable for families with children who are able to cycle. The paths and tracks are quiet and safe. Enjoyed the weaving village, the rice wine stills with the delightful drunk pigs and the inlaid shell artist who would have thought.
