A fantastic day trip to the Far North of Scotland. Dunrobin castle itself was worth the early start, but the trip was full of amazing views of the east coast, castles and of course John O'Groats. Our guides Chris and Ray were fabulous, making extra surprising stops on the way and accommodating all my additional requests. Definitely worth going!

Castles, seals, highland cows and fairy wells

Amazing day out, this tour goes all the way to the northern most point in the UK the drive along the west coast is very beautiful, we even got to see seals! We went to the beautiful Dunrobin castle and got to see the falconry! Our tour guide Chris is the absolute best, he took us places not on the itinerary that made this tour very unique and memorable! I especially enjoyed our detour to the fairy well and Sinclair castle! Sinclair castle is breathtaking, I’m so glad Chris decided to take us there, it was my favorite part of the tour. We also got to get close up pictures of the Highland Cows, Chris is not afraid to stop the bus anywhere so you can get the best pictures! Thanks again to Chris with Timber Bush, I highly recommend booking a tour with them! :)

Ryan ROCKS his kilt and this tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Ryan behind the wheel and highly recommend it! The landscape in the northern Highlands is very different than the other parts of Scotland - flat terrain and no trees, but still just beautiful! We saw many fat seals with pups at Loch Fleet. The stop at the Coffey Bothy in Goldspie was nice - except for a seagull stealing my scone! Dunrobin castle was exquisite and we got there in time to see the falconry show (which was spectacular). The Emigrants statue in Helmsdale was very moving to see... such a sad story about the Highland clearances. An unexpected treat was being able to visit Castle Sinclair Girnigoe, a beautiful ruins castle on the cliff's edge. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time. There were plenty of nice reaks from the long bus ride along the journey. Ryan was very informative and funny. He kept us entertained with his stories, Gaelic speaking and his "DJ Request Hour". We listened to Scottish music and then everybody got to request songs to sing along to. It was such a fun tour... I'm giggling all the way back to Texas!
