Excellent tour and very informative. Andy, our guide, was superb. Using this tour made the trip to a very large museum so much more manageable and also informative.

Half a Tour but still well worth it as a curtain raiser!

1. Pre-tour contact messages from our guide (Sacha) keeping me well-informed at regular intervals. 2. Very knowledgeable and engaging tour guide making very good rapport with the touring party. 3. Focus on the well-being of the tour party in extremely hot, oppressive and crowded conditions. Our tour had to be cut short as the Museum had closed off entire sections and a whole upper floor because of record-breaking heat on 18th and 19th July. But I still was able to enjoy the curtailed experience, learn lots of fun facts and stories, discover many new things that I had never known, and actually see some of the wondrous artefacts that I had only seen as drawings in my school history books! I will obviously come back to the Museum to spend more time. Goes without saying that you could spend months here looking at everything. In short, it was a shortened trip, in extremely hot weather and stifling conditions. And yet I had a good time. Viator has given back a 50% refund on the tour and I really think it is a very nice, professional gesture and one that will make customers keep coming back. Thank You !

Our guide Luis was amazing. His knowledge of the museum was very broad and he took us to the most important and unique parts of the museum. He provided historical context to the artifacts he showed us which really brought the items to life. We were with my teenagers and this tour helped keep them focused and learn a lot during the tour.

Matilda was an excellent tour guide. She was knowledgeable and kept a good pace. I was impressed how attentive she was to a couple who was delayed in joining the group at the scheduled time. She kept checking in on them until they arrived at the museum and were able to join us for the continuation of the tour.

Great Highlight Tour of the British Museum with Andi
jgriffin1025
, Jun 2022
Andi gave a very interesting semi-private tour of the British Museum. He was certainly well-informed and did a very good job of bringing the museum pieces into perspective. He was open to questions and you didnt feel rushed. He gave our group time to browse the toured areas after a thoughtful description. I personally enjoyed hearing what his favorite pieces were. Highly recommended and perfect for us….our first trip!

A Great Experience
Andrew_G
, May 2022
Had a great tour with Sheldon last week. I had booked a semi-private tour but it ended up being a private tour for half the price as I was the only one there. Sheldon was very easy to get on with from the beginning and gave a tour that included the highlights but also very interesting details he had picked out that may otherwise have been overlooked. I particularly enjoyed learning how to look at Chinese paintings properly - quite mesmerising. I thoroughly recommend going to this museum with a tour guide to enjoy it fully.

Informative tour of British Museum
Gayl_H
, Sep 2021
Andy was an excellent guide and we enjoyed our visit to the British Museum. We had been there before, however, having an expert to not only guide us to the highlights but to give narration to the stories behind them made the trip much more rewarding than a casual browse and read. I only gave it 4 stars because of the museum, not the guide, because restrooms were not as easy to get to and the cafe was a disappointment - located in the main entry hall cafeteria style.
