The tour will finish at approximately 6:00pm at the London Eye Pier.

  • Confirmation will be received at time of booking
  • On Sunday due to Church services, there is no guiding inside St Paul’s Cathedral
  • The Guard Change may not be operational in bad weather conditions. On these occasions we will visit the Horse Guards for a photo stop instead.
  • Please note: the tour itinerary and order may change. The time spent at each location is approximate and is subject to change depending on various factors (traffic conditions, etc)
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Near public transportation
  • Infants must sit on laps
  • The Whispering Gallery at St Paul’s Cathedral is temporarily closed and is expected to remain closed until at least December 2019
  • Our vehicles are modern, comfortable, and kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, including a deep clean every day
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 53 travelers

Loved the Guide, Bus was great and the sites were fantastic. Not our first time to London but we were with people that it was there first time and we set up the tour. They were very happy. You didnt let us down. Also we were very happy with the meeting place for the bus.

The description of the tour was misleading. Our tour guide was a pleasant man, but didnt give a lot of historical information like we’ve experienced with other tour guides. It says a river cruise but it was riding a boat taxi. It was suppose to include the changing of the guard but we were told we had to leave before it was over. We paid a lot of money and really didn’t get what we thought we were getting.

Was not a Total London Tour!

First of all, tour was supposed to begin at 8:00 a.m. Instead, the tour guide did not begin checking people in until after 8:00 a.m. We were then informed there would be no changing of the guard that day "due to rain" but it wasn't raining. While I know Golden Tours is not responsible for it being cancelled, we did not do anything else to replace that activity. Traffic was extremely backed up due to the half-marathon then taking place. We could not pass by the federal buildings due to the marathon and those streets being blocked off. Our box lunch was substandard, a cheese sandwich, with a bag of chips and a small water. Once we arrived at the Tower of London, our bus took off and we were left to walk for the rest of the tour...not mentioned in this tour's description at all! We were given a few hours to walk around at the Tower of London unescorted after being led to the Crown Jewels area. Once on the Thames River Boat Ride, there was no commentary by anyone to explain what we were seeing. Last stop...London Eye...while incredible, that was the end of the "10 hour tour" and it was only 3:00 p.m.!!! Disappointing!!! I'm sure everyone was aware well ahead of time the half-marathon was running that day...perhaps with all the tie-ups it brings, the tour company should not run the tour on that day!

Half Marathon, Protesters and Rain

The day started with a late checkin and late departure. Early on, the bus was told that we picked a bad day because there was a half marathon, protesters and rain in the area. We did not see Big Ben or the changing of the guard. Since it was a Sunday, we also did not get the tour of St Paul’s cathedral. The lunch was a small cheese sandwich. Overall the tour was not a good value for the money spent. My confirmation said to expect a 6PM return but we were done by 4. The bus left us after the morning so personal items had to be carried the remainder of the trip. My expectation was that the Thames river would have narration to point out the sites but none was provided as the group was spread out in the river taxi.

This tour was fast moving and covered a lot of ground over the course of the day. While you could not spend must time at each site it did allow us to get a flavor of the beautiful city of London. The simple box lunch that was included was pretty basic but did save us time and allowed more time to see the sights. If you only have one full day to see and explore London then I would highly recommend this tour. Our local guide, Ruth, and coach driver, Massimo, did a great job!
