Decent but Not Worth the Money
Molly_E
, May 2022
This was a decent excursion but I don’t feel like it was worth the money. We took a charter boat to Pearl Island, but there was no personal service when we were on the boat. There were no drinks which wasn’t the end of the world, but it got hot on the way back. No tour guide on a speaker telling us about the island or what we were seeing. The island is cute with a great lighthouse to visit, snorkeling, paddle boards, kayaks etc. Lots to do and fun things for the kids. Lunch was local fare which was decent but not the best for kids. No other food options. If they could make the boat ride more fun and give you a couple more food options on the island, I would totally recommend.

Bring your own food

Trip was ok, the Island was pretty, the glass bottom portion of the boat was closed, my kids weren’t allowed to snorkel because the water was choppy. Lifeguards/attendants are few and far in between. You can purchase drinks, but not food or snacks and you’re there for 4 hours. Lunch was 1 piece of chicken and rice with a 6 oz cup of ice tea or water. I was expecting fresh fruit, chips, cans of juice or soda. Definitely not worth the price just to take a boat to an island. The water activities were also misrepresented. The whole beach is fighting over 4 kayaks, 4 paddle boards and 2 beach beds.

Hope there was a clear communication about snorkling.

We paid 200 dollars but did not get to snorking at all. If they cannot provide snorking due to wind, they suppose to cancel. Food and island were okay. We were so unhappy that we could not do snorkling.

10 out of 10 experience! We had the best day and this place is stunning! The drinks are great and the food was very good. I highly recommend. My only complaint is that I wanted to stay longer! Book this trip. You will not be disappointed.

Fun and great trip

Eventhough we didn't get the opportunity to snorkel because of the strong current in the snorkeling area, we had an amazing experience. The food was tasty. The view was great and we saw alot of fishes near the rocks where the cabanas are so don't really need to go that far to snorkel and see some cute fishes. There are kayaks, paddle boards and floaties that are free to use but are limited so you have to be fast to use some of it. The staff were so helpful and friendly.

Such a fun day on a beautiful island!

My twin teen daughters and i chose Pearl island for snorkeling. The boat ride was incredibly pleasant and not too long. It was a beautiful trip. Pearl island is exquisite and the entire staff is lovely. We had a great time snorkeling, sunning and playing on the beach! The lunch was delicious and we purchased strawberry daiquiris on the opposite end bar. I highly recommend Pearl island. It’s a wonderful excursion. We want to go back!

Wonderful day spent on a beautiful island! We all had a fabulous time on this great excursion. A large family including an 8 week old baby enjoyed this trip. We swam in the sea, played on the beach, had a delicious lunch then snorkelled with the fish.

Do Something else

The island was ok. Snorkeling was good. Lunch was ok. The trip back to the dock was way too long. They picked up passengers from the cruise ships and had to take them to their dock. 20 minute boat ride took us an hour. They had the music up very loud and you couldn’t hear people talk. I understand the party atmosphere but need to dial down the music. I wouldn’t recommend it. Find something else to do.

Probably wouldn't do it again

It said we would leave at 11am and it was more like 11:30-11:45 and they broughr you back at 3pm. We couldn't do the snorkeling part of the excursion due to winds which was fine, but we had to wait about an hour to even get snorkeling equipment for us to do it on our own. There was also no water trampoline like advertised. The food was good. But we basically paid $100/person to swim on the beach and have a small lunch.

Terrible customer service
Adam_W

Terrible customer service. Booked excursion well in advance and paid in advance. We showed up on time and was told that another group paid for the whole island. I received a confirmation up to the day before and was never notified our trip has been canceled. To say my kids were disappointed was an understatement!

Beautiful island, but not a great tour
Rivka_J

I've done other tours such as this in the past, and this one did not live up to my expectation. The tour started almost an hour late, and it was basically just transport to Pearl Island, time on the island, and transport back (which was also over 30 minutes late without any apology or explanation). While other tours I've been on are more interactive and communicative with a tour guide pointing things out during the boat ride, talking about the islands, etc, this one lacked all that. They also promised drinks etc, but they didn't even give out water. They did not have any vegetarian options at all, no snacks, just the cooked fried chicken lunch and a cup of iced tea. The island itself is beautiful with a lighthouse on one end and lots of beach chairs to sit on to enjoy the view, as well as kayaks you can take out and a small floating water trampoline you can swim out to. Our snorkeling portion of the tour got cancelled because the water was too choppy, but they did give us $15 back per person/ticket after I emailed them about it. So overall, I'm glad I got to see Pearl Island, but I would not recommend this tour. Go for a tour with better customer service.

Not worth it.
Daniel_W
, Mar 2022
Communication was terrible from the beginning. It was not clear we had to catch the boat from Paradise Island and our Cruise came into Nassau. After walking almost a half mile on the main land because a local told us that was where Margaritaville was, we had to furiously find a ride to Paradise Island to be on time for the boat. Then we had to stand in line for 30min to check in. After we arrived on the Island we were given no info regarding our snorkeling( which had been canceled without our knowing) our lunch time or the time of our boat’s return. The island was pretty but a tiny beach area. Not at all what we expected and we have cruises more than 20 times over the past 25years.

Not worth the $
Sara_G
, Mar 2022
So we went on this trip in hopes of snorkeling, they informed us of the cancellation at arrival to the marina. They did not offer us a full, refund only 20% … which we have yet to see. As the island had little to offer except for snorkeling , we paid alot of money to sit in a beach chair. We could have done that at our rental. The food was sub-par. We left late and then they did not pick us up until after 4pm… we were told we would be back at port at 4pm. . So less than stellar.

Very good.

Very good excursion. Snorkeling was fun. The beach is decent and there are great photo ops. Clearer directions and signs on the island would help. There should also be enough of ALL the food options for everyone.

We really enjoyed this experience. Though the water was a bit choppy, the snorkeling was good. It was nice to have kayaks and paddle boards to use. The views from the lighthouse were great and lunch was delicious. All staff were friendly and helpful!
