We really enjoyed our shore excursion in Nha Trang City. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He and our nice driver picked us up punctually at the pier. He gave us a lot of interesting explanation on every place in very good english. We had enough time to explore every place on our itinerary without any hurry. Lunch in a local restaurant was very tasty and plentiful. We highly recommend this tour.
Firstly it wasn't a full day tour as it lasted less than 4 hrs mainly due to places being closed to the public because of the virus. Our guide Theo caused a bit of panic by NOT displaying our name on a card for us to see him at the port as was said on our booking form. In amongst the madness going on he eventually approached us to set us on our tour. The port of Nah Trang was beautiful from start to finish and the beach area was fantastic. A vietnamese lunch was included in our trip and we were taken to a local restaurant called the Lantern where we had a sumptuous lunch of coconut chicken with pineapple, beef and pepper in a sweet chilli sauce along with a bowl of salad, boiled rice and a noodle dish. Any drinks you bought were to be paid for. Excellent lunch. Our give Thao was charming and enthusiastic and showed us all the sites in what was a beautiful port. You should definitely give it a try if visiting this port in. Vietnam.
Our tour guide Mr Tinh and driver Mr King were excellent in looking after us for the day and took us to amazing places to experience the best of Nha Trang.
The traffic was scary but Mr King manoeuvred the vehicle brilliantly and we felt very safe. Mr Tinh not only explained each location in detail but he also took numerous photos of our group for us.
Highly recommend this tour for anyone travelling to Vietnam on a cruise and have limited time.
Our ship stayed overnight at Da Nang so a full day excursion visiting both Marble Mountain and Hoi An old town is a better choice than the half day excursion provided by the ship. The guide Kong was already waiting us at the gate even we were a little bit earlier than the meeting time. This is the first time we have a private tour and it is worth the extra premium. Kong speaks very good English and is very knowledgeable on the cultural of the places we visiting. The lunch was at a restaurant by the river side and we had a table by the window over looking the beautiful scenery. The food is delicious with a total of nine dishes. We are really appreciate Kong and the driver to allow us visiting a couple of places that were not on the original itinerary (that means they need to work overtime!). We had a very smooth ride thru out the whole trip. The driver skill is excellent.
Excellent tour. Na Trang is a wondering place. So much to see and one day is not enough. Our tour guide Brian was very knowledgeable of all the sites ans was very accommodating. He allowed us to modify our tour to make more time atthe market. The driver was also nice. I highly recommend this tour.
If you visiting Vietnam for the first time via a cruise like us then it feels best to go with a tour as time and knowledge is limited but after being there we realized that a tour could have been done just by ourselves or just hire a local car/van with a driver. The good part of this tour was that they sent us a good van that could accommodate 8 of us and the guide, 'Duy' was a nice, patient and knowledgeable person.
We could have done the same tour for one-third of what we paid. My low rating for this is mainly because of the costs. It's not worth the money they ask. Nha Trang is very scenic and beautiful. You should definitely visit the Rock for scenic views, you can get great pics there. There is a buddha temple which has 150 steps and its nice if the weather is not punishing. There is also some famous temple which is nice but you can skip it if it doesn't matter. Spend some time on the beach side instead, we didn't get a chance to do that. Eat the local fruits and have the Vietnamese coffee, they are refreshing.
