The full loops lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours, and audio commentary is provided for each sight you pass. Make use on the free onboard Wi-Fi to share pictures, tweet or blog about your travels as you go.

Not impressed
Joanne
, Feb 2020
Not enough information on where to “hop on and off”. Only eight stops. Multiple companies so it was hard to figure out which one we were able to ride. The headphones didn’t work in one seat, and they kept going on and off in the other. At one of the stops the bus stopped and said they were taking a 45 minute break and we had to get off and get on another bus.

On schedule and commentary was easy to follow with no problems with the earphones. Bus was comfortable and the top deck gave a good vista.

Aweful experience with VIATOR

This review is specifically about Viator in general. I booked a reserve now pay later tour and by the time I got charged for it the dates were incorrect. By the time I realized that the dates somehow got messed up the date of the tour had already passes. No services were rendered nor were the "skip-the-line" tickets ever picked up or used. When I called Viator to so what could be done about this mishap I was told nothing can be done about this since the date has already passed but, "I can book another tour for you at full price"... Are you kidding me Viator, you screwed me on my first tour I ever booked with you and you think Im going to spend more of my money with you... This doesn't even begin to cover all the tricky fine print details that come alone with most of their tours. Things like buying skip-the-line tickets that can only be used on certain days even if booked for multiples days....

Great travel option in Rome

This was a great way to get around Rome and see the sights since I can’t drive in another country. Way too scary for me to try. Plus it is very reasonable.

Disorganised.

Overall a little disorganised. You have to go to several offices in several different places to pick up various tickets despite booking online. Not very efficient.

a little info
hraimondi82
, Feb 2020
Also to add, follow the instructions on the paperwork given to you/printed, the details about where to pick up your tickets for the tours/events is a little confusing and after we picked up our receipts, you have to go to another place to pick up the tickets, before even getting to the location. And make sure your tickets are in the correct currency, I mistakenly somehow got onto Pounds instead of USD and when the charge came through it threw me off.

Bus was fine, no real issues, just a little confusion at first.
hraimondi82
, Feb 2020
Once we figured out exactly where we were supposed to go and which bus we were supposed to take, it was fine, but just watch the time. At the end of the day (5-6 I think) the day bus changes and one more bus rotates around all the stops. You can wait a long time for the last bus to come pick you up and then it only brings you back to the remaining stops or to the main home base location.

Rome tour bus
timberminghamshaw
, Feb 2020
We were on the buses for over an hour with the same music playing over and over in between info spots. There surely must be something else to be said about Rome that could fill the gaps. What was said appeared very basic and didn't exactly over inform. I thought quite childish really.
