Sunrise Small-Group Tour of Angkor Wat from Siem Reap
This is the first time I traveled alone.
I have seen so many things on my trips around the globe but this is just a mind blowing, all natural must-see.
My experience was excellent because of the tour company so big thank you to you guys!
Because of the threat of coved-19, my accommodation was cancelled on the last minute and the tour company was very flexible and approachable, they picked me up in the new hotel; no fuss, no additional payment.
I have met some very nice people along on my group.
The guide I hope I got it right name “Chai”, he is really great and knowledgeable.
He is very sensible because he also believes that children in their country should go school and the veterans with physical disabilities should be helped in order to have better lives.
The trip was very meaningful not only because of the sceneries but also because of the historical values that he injects in his talk.
The service was fantastic because after a visit to the temple the driver is waiting with an cold water and an ice cold face towel with a hint of tiger balm?
Which is amazing and refreshing at the same time.
They really thought of everything to make the experience great!
Savoun was an amazing guide. Ver knowledgeable and passionate about the history of his country and a fantastic photographer. He took some great shots of me and my wife at each of the temples. Great day. Small group. There were 8 of us total. Highly recommend this company.
We had this trip with a wonderful guide Mr. Savoon. He gave a complete description about things asked. He gave enough time for us to enjoy just about everything that we want to while on this tour without losing any of it. So we felt really lucky to have him as our guide for this tour. Thank you Mr. Savoon.
Excellent tour picked up from hotel on time,Bob our guide was brilliant took us to the best position to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat,Bob was very knowledgable and gave us great insights into the meanings of different temple stone drawings etc all in all a really brilliant day.Thank you
This tour was fabulous from start to finish.
we took the lesser known route into Angkor Wat, met no-one until we were actually at the small make waiting for the sun to come up.
The guide was very informative and looked after us throughout.
I would ask for a refund, however it's not possible
, Jan 2020
Woke up at 3:40 to go around the city to pick up the rest of the group in order to reach Angkor Wat at 5:30 --> that's 2 hours of sleep wasted with no purpose
The guide provided interesting information, however he didn't seem too interested in the tour itself.
Quickly going through the amazing temples, however not having enough time to look or understand.
In the end we were the last ones to be dropped off although we were the most centrally located.
My advice would be to take a local tuk-tuk driver and rent a guide on site for best experience.
Great start to a day in Angkor Wat. The car picked us up on time and we arrived at the ticket booth to be the first ones before they opened. There were around 100 people in line when we got our tickets and got back in the car. We arrived at the gates of Angkor Wat with plenty of time to watch sunrise and eat our little morning snack around 5:30 am. After sunrise, we met up with the guide who gave us a long detailed history of the main site. We then visited the main temple and went up to the third floor. The breakfast following was a bit annoying as we did not have choice of restaurant it was clearly over touristed and over priced - I would recommend bringing your own food on this particular tour. Then we visited the main gate of angkor thom and the elephant terrace. We also experience Angkor Phrom - a highlight for sure, and Bayon. The guide was very knowledgeable but seemed to be done with the tourist type and let us take lots of pictures rather than giving us the history etc. I spent some time talking to him and it seemed he needed some prompting but had some great knowledge! Because there is so much to see at the Angkor complex, we decided not to return to town with the tour but rather continue to explore on our own and got a few tuk tuks to take us around. I would recommend this tour and a continuation on your own for the afternoon as it ends around noon. Or, buy a 3 day pass and return the next day as the $37 USD pass is not included in this tour.
