Very nice experience, very clean and nice place and lovely people. Even though it doesn’t seem like a very typical “locals home”.
You have many options and you can try many different meals. Food allergies/ vegetarian/ vegan is no problem.
Perfectly fresh herbs straight from the garden!
Soyra was a delightful
Host . It was a really pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning .I thoroughly enjoyed the Cambodian market and the food was wonderful .Fresh ingredients simply cooked and tasted wonderful .
From going to local market and getting supplies from local people to getting to beautiful open terrace for cooking, experience guidelines from Sorya!! Really great way to meet local ways of living. Highly recommend
I actually enjoyed this cooking class! The visit to the market was extremely different from western culture. The kitchen space at the house was lovely! I learned some new tricks and recipes! The host was awesome
Soriya and Yvonne were our hosts. Their English and ability to give clear instructions was excellent. Loved the little mushroom farm but there was no talk of a visit to crocodile farm as mentioned in the tour outline. There were 4 in my group and 12 menu choices. We were each allowed to pick 3 items so we made everything and shared it. More than enough food for all. In fact, we didn't finish everything and we didn't have another thing to eat for the rest of the day. The trip to the small local market was very interesting-glad Soriya was with us to answer our questions. Very good value.
I had the best time with the cooking class! The instructor picks you up from your hostel /hotel and takes you to a local market and then after you go back to a locals house where you start to cook. You also pick herbs from the locals garden and learn about the food history! I would 100% recommend!
I highly rate this experience. If I had been served the beef salad I made in a restaurant, I would have congratulated the chef. The fact my hosts taught me to make it is amazing. I have told many people I have met about it.
We were in cambodia on a studytrip for our tourism school in switzerland and our group made research for traditional food and way of cooking. The cooking class with Soray and Syvon was the absolutly best way to get more insights in the life of local people and their daily dishes and traditions.
We highly recommend this cooking class to get authentic informations!
We had a lot of fun doing the cooking class. We started by picking our own mushrooms from a farm, then headed to a beautiful house for cooking, with a fresh herb garden. The food we cooked was absolutely delicious. Our hosts were informative and super sweet. I absolutely recommend this class and tour!
