Guide lacking

This was a good trip overall to get out of the busy city. Beautiful country side. But the guide did not share much about the area, and I had to look up most of what we saw on the internet when we got back to the hotel. There was also a money issue at the local restaurant, the guide was worthless and did not help.

We thank the guest for choosing Siem Reap Shuttle, Angkors leading professional tour company! We apologise that the guide did not talk enough. We sometimes get complaints that the guide talked too much. It seems that everyone has a different requirement. 'Variety is the spice of life' as they say, but also possibly 'lifes bane'. The guide is not employed to be a policeman, nursemaid, bodyguard or interpreter. Having said that, they do occasionally intercede in disagreements, but we stress that this is not their responsibility.

Informative and the swim at the end of the trekking up the temple in the heat was a great end to the day.

Not worth the money

The waterfall was pretty and the drive up had some nice views, but overall the trip wasn't worth it. The guide didn't speak much English so he couldn't tell us anything about where we were or what we were looking at. I overheard guides with other groups explaining carvings in the waterwat things alongathr path, but ours had nothing to say other than repeatedly emphasize that it was "boy parts." We also did a lot of waiting around. In the morning after pick up we waited while they reassigned everyone to different vans. Then after driving for a while, we waited nearly an hour at the base of the mountain for another van to catch up (though I'm not sure why because we never interacted in any way with the other group once they came). The guide also made comments on my appearance and asked if I was single, which was uncomfortable as a solo female traveler.

The group operate smoothly that day, the guide G1 is very kind and friendly. The secenery is just soso, the waterfall is small, the level is not high, the space around the waterfall is limited and crowded. If you are tired of visit temples in Siem Reap, suggest this tour, but don't expect too high.
