York & Yorkshire in a Day Small-Group Tour

Our tour was operated by Grand Yorkshire Limited and we could not have had a better experience during our time in York. Our guide for our walking tour, Matt, was extremely friendly and knowledgable – my wife and I learned so much! He also gave us great recommendations to explore the city at our leisure and dining options as well. After lunch, our day continued with Peter, who drove us through Yorkshire making great stops in the countryside on our way to Whitby. Like Matt, Peter was just as friendly and knowledgeable about the history of York, Yorkshire, Whitby, and every stop between. We made many stops for photos along the way and to stretch our legs with a walk in the Moors. Thank you both so much for making our time in York so wonderful, I highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed this tour because it was part walking and part driving (and in that order). Both guides were very interesting and knew their subjects very well. Well worth the money.

This day trip was one of the best during our 3 weeks abroad! Matt was great for the walking portion in the morning throughout the city, and we LOVED Chris one of the managers who took another couple and us on this small group tour. Not only did we see Staithe, a wonderful fishing village where we had a bit of free time, (this was incredible!!!), but Whitby Moors and the abbey where they filmed Dracula was spectacular. I would rate this one of the top 5 tours. It was a perfect day, and with a small group you saw so much of the Yorkshire area, it was a dream!!
